Wired for reliability

Cameras connected by network cable are more reliable than WiFi cameras and need no batteries. Plan the cable runs early and they are almost invisible. Add them later and they often mean opening walls.

Are wired cameras better than WiFi cameras?

For a permanent home system, usually yes. Wired cameras do not drop out, do not need batteries and do not load up your WiFi.
