Privacy policy

This page explains what personal information Techouse collects through this website, why, and what we do with it. Last updated: 26 October 2026.

Who we are

Techouse is a home technology integration business based in Melbourne, Victoria. You can reach us on 03 4328 5143 or by email at Email us.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry. The contact form asks for your name, email address, phone number (optional), suburb (optional), type of project and a message. We only collect what you choose to type in.

When you visit the site. We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see how the site is used. This collects things like the pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser type, and your approximate location (city level). It uses cookies or similar identifiers. It does not collect your name or contact details.

Advertising. If we run ads on Google or Meta (Facebook and Instagram), we may use their tracking tags to measure whether an ad led to an enquiry, and to show ads to people who have visited the site. This page will be updated when that starts.

Why we collect it

  • To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote
  • To run and improve the website and our marketing
  • To meet legal and tax obligations, if you become a client

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We use these services to run the website and our business, and they handle information on our behalf:

  • Cloudflare hosts the website and delivers pages.
  • Resend delivers the email that your enquiry form creates.
  • Zoho hosts our business email, where your enquiry arrives.
  • Google provides analytics and, if we advertise, Google Ads.
  • Meta provides advertising tools, if we advertise there.

Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and Asia. We choose reputable providers and only share what each service needs.

Cookies and your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on, available from Google. If you do not want us to keep your enquiry, tell us and we will delete it, unless we need to keep it for legal reasons.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails while they are useful for a quote or an ongoing job, and delete older ones that did not lead to work. Client records are kept as long as the law requires for tax and warranty purposes.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or to correct it, by contacting us using the details above. If you think we have mishandled your information, contact us first and we will try to fix it. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
